Solitary trees, if they grow at all, grow strong. Winston Churchill
This week’s challenge once again encouraged us to take pictures of people, or a person rather. I find I am less awkward about taking pictures of animals or things, you know, something I don’t have to have an actual conversation with.
This photo was snapped at the end of an excitingly beautiful hike on the Bruce Peninsula of Ontario. I love the pose of the goose and how the leaves on the tree in front of me formed a perfect window to view it through. It’s funny because typically when I see a goose it’s in a large group (or gaggle) of other geese. It looks like this one was enjoying it’s solitary swim in this small Ontario lake, perhaps it’s last before the long trip south.
Winter is coming.
